We serve disabled and neurodivergent community members, so accessibility is a requirement of our work — not an afterthought. This page explains what we do, where we fall short, and how to reach us.
Our commitment
PrismaCorp Foundation is committed to making our website usable by everyone, regardless of ability or the technology they use. We treat accessibility as ongoing work: we test, we listen, and we fix.
The standard we aim for
We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. PrismaOS is our default, playful front door, but a conventional, WCAG-minded standard site is always one click away (the "Standard view" link) and is our accessibility baseline. On small screens we serve a streamlined mobile experience.
What we've built in
- Semantic structure — landmark regions, meaningful headings, and descriptive page titles.
- Keyboard support — a "skip to content" link, visible focus indicators, and forms you can complete without a mouse. PrismaOS adds Spotlight search (⌘K) and a shortcuts panel (?).
- Readable color — text that sits on color uses a contrast-tuned palette to meet AA minimums.
- Reduced motion — animations, auto-scrolling marquees, the boot sequence, and transitions are disabled when your device requests reduced motion.
- High-contrast mode — a one-tap toggle in PrismaOS Settings (under Display) lifts colors and text to meet AA contrast, saved on your device.
- Inline validation — our forms describe errors clearly and move focus to the field that needs attention.
- Responsive layouts — content reflows for phones, tablets, and desktops without loss of information.
Known limitations
We're honest about where we're still improving. In PrismaOS, dragging, resizing, and snapping windows are visual enhancements — never required: every destination is reachable from the menu bar, dock, Spotlight search (⌘K), or the standard site.
