What PrismaCorp Foundation is — and what we’re building
PrismaCorp Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a simple belief: the communities built around fandom can do real good in the world. We harness the power of fandom — anime, cosplay, gaming, and the communities around them — to support marginalized people who need it most.
If you’re new here, this post is the short version of who we are and what we’re working on.
Four ways we show up
Our work runs across four areas:
- Access funds — direct help with the care people need but can’t always afford.
- Programs & events — the gatherings we organize, and the programs that grow out of them.
- Consulting — helping organizers, businesses, and venues build genuinely inclusive spaces.
- Advocacy — keeping the voices of marginalized communities in the conversation.
The events
We bring the community together through three flagship events. PrismaCon is our anime and pop-culture convention. PrismaLAN is a 24-hour gaming marathon, held twice a year in support of mental health. And PrismaBall is a formal gala celebrating the community and honoring the people who power our work.
What we’re building next
Operation FoodSafe is a program we’re building to help fight food insecurity in the communities we serve. It’s coming soon — and if you’d like to help get it off the ground, we’d love to hear from you.
Come with us
However you want to show up, there’s a place for you. You can donate, volunteer, or join our mailing list to follow along. This is a community project — and that includes you.
